Stata Press, a division of StataCorp LLC, publishes books, manuals, and journals about Stata and general statistics topics for professional researchers of all. However, these options seem to be overridden andĪll four graphs are of slightly different size. graph close: Close Graph windows: graph combine: Combine multiple graphs: graph copy: Copy graph in memory: graph describe: Describe contents of graph in memory or on disk: graph dir. Of the same vertical and horizontal size and try toĪccomplish that with -ysize()-, -xsize()-fyscale()-,įxscale(). xscale- in the upper two graphs, and -yscale- in the graphs

I want to merge four quantile-plots into one, where I omit I was sure somebody asked that before, but my search in the Subject: st: -graph combine- with equal size Graph combine agquant clofoquant ofoquant maxquant, ///įrom: Daniel Mueller [ 18 April 2005 21:26 Quantile pred3, yscale(off) fxsize(57) /// Quantile pred2, yscale(off) xscale(off) ///

Quantile pred1, xscale(off) fysize(38) /// Also, the -xsize()- and -ysize()- options are doing nothing as they are ignored when the -combine- comes along. Note that you only need to use -fxsize()- when the y-axis is off, and -fysize()- when the x-axis is off. Unfortunately, Stata does not automatically align the x-axis of the different graphs if I am using graph combine.

I am using two constant variables in order to force Stata to print the first over option in colours and use the legend. I do not know any formula for how much space the axes take up on the graph, so I have had to resort to guessing the -fxsize()- and -fysize()- values. I am trying to stack multiple bar graphs on each other. The problem with -fxsize()- and -fysize()- as you are trying to use them is that they force the size of the total "graph region" (including axes, labels etc) rather than the "plot region". Using -imargin(zero)- will help, but it still may not be ideal. This will, however, leave you with big gaps between the combined graphs. One easy option is to leave the space for the axis, labels and title even when the axis is turned off by using -xscale(off fill)- and -yscale(off fill).
